Course 06: Basic Mechanisms
RoboDKAbout This Course
The Mechanisms course will introduce you to the process of creating and working with custom Mechanisms in RoboDK. You will learn how to accurately replicate real-world processes by implementing various mechanism types, including linear rails, pillars, conveyors, grippers, doors, turntables, and part feeders. Through hands-on examples, you’ll gain practical experience constructing mechanisms and integrating them into your RoboDK stations.
In this course, you will explore each mechanism type in detail—seeing how to configure and control their movement to add realism and functionality to your simulations. You will apply these concepts in guided exercises, such as configuring a linear rail for pick and place operations and performing an automated turntable inspection.
By the end of this course, you will have the skills to equip your stations with custom mechanisms tailored to your manufacturing and automation needs, providing a closer match to your real-world processes.
